COLCHESTER’S GOT TALENT – A COMMUNITY 6:30 – 8:30 PM
TALENT SHOW MC: MIKE TOOMEY
Join us for an evening of spectacular amatuer talent. From children to adults this is an evening full of entertainment and extreme talent from Colchester residents. Based on the hit TV talent show “America’s Got Talent” these local acts will be judged by age groups. Judges will choose the winners. Cash Prizes will be awarded, 1st Place: $200.00, 2nd Place: $100.00, 3rd Place: $50.00 per age group. Acts were chosen through tryouts which were held in January.

The Lion’s Club of Colchester will be hosting the Pancake Breakfast. What a way to get the day off to a great start. $3.00 under six years of age, $5.00 over 6 years of age, maximum of $15 per family of 4.

Softball in the Snow 9:00 AM
The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences of Vermont invite those looking for a fun, recreational winter softball game, to come out and play ball! Coed Teams of at least 10 adults, 3 begin women, will play games on a snow covered field while contending with winter attire, clunky winter boots and laughter. $10.00 per player with proceeds going towards community programs and training though the Albany College of Pharmacy. Adult winners will receive a 3 month membership to Colchester Health & Fitness.

15th Annual Auction – Colchester-Milton Rotary 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The Rotary Annual Auction will help the Colchester-Milton Rotary Club support charitable giving. Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways to donated items guaranteed to delight and surprise. Proceeds from this auction event will go to the Colchester-Milton Rotary Charitable Fund in order to support both local and international projects.

Children’s entertainer Joey D does balloon sculptures… but he does way more than just dogs and giraffes. He uses 6 different shapes and over 20 colors to create hundreds of different balloon animal creations. Joey D calls them Wild Wearables.

CHILI CONTEST 10:30 a.m.
Think you have the best chili in town? Well then, test your chili against your neighbors, possibly win a trophy and most importantly help support Blue Stars Mothers of Vermont (BSMVT) by signing up. BSMVT is a non-profit 501(c)3 Veterans Service Organization whose mission is to support and advocate for our Soldiers and Veterans while also being dedicated to honoring and assisting families of our fallen. Lt. Governor Phil Scott and local Veterans will be on hand to judge who has the best meat and vegetarian chili. $15.00 to enter with all proceeds going to BSMVT. the top three in each category (vegetarian and meat) will win a trophy, but most important: bragging rights. This high energy performance is sure to get you dancing in your seats. Join us for this special presentation by students from The Movement Center. JuMP! is a group of area teens that love to dance and perform.

High-powered overhaul of classic, vaudeville with cartoon characters and slapstick stunts. “Wreckage-O-Rama” is 45 minutes of physical theatre buffoonery. This is a fantastic one-man vaudeville, juggling, stunts and character comedy from Patrick Ferri. This is well worth a look!

DINNER THEATRE MURDER MYSTERY 6:00 PM
The Colchester High School Theatre Company and National Honors Society are back once again for this popular dinner theatre night. This dinner theatre will bring many laughs and questions as to “who dunnit”. This production is an audience participation murder mystery that the entire family will enjoy. The NHS members will prepare a delicious dinner that will be to die for. Tickets are $12.00 per person and are available for purchase at the Colchester Parks & Recreation Department Office.

Skate with the Cops at Leddy Park 12:15 – 2:15 PM
Join the Colchester Police Department in this once a year opportunity to skate and meet your community officers. Skates are available for rental at the rink for $3.00 per pair. Don’t forget your bracelet so you don’t have to pay admission.

Colchester Youth Recreational Basketball League (CYBL) promises to be a fun season. There will be designated practices for players in Grades 1 – 8. Participants will be assigned to teams, with practices once a week and games on Saturdays. Games will be played at Malletts Bay School and Colchester Middle School. Grades 5-6 and 7-8 will have the chance to play teams from surrounding communities.

CYBL League Format:

Grades 1 – 2 Coed
Grades 3 – 4 Boys & Girls
Grades 5 – 6 Boys & Girls
Grades 7 – 8 Boys & Girls

2011 – 2012 Season: November 28 – February 18

1 hour practice per week, per team between the hours of 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on assigned weekdays, plus 1 hour games on Saturdays.

Games will begin Saturday, January 6th

$10.00 late fee per child (After November 4th)
